Big Ring Plan

  • Fully customized and comprehensive training plan utilizing TrainingPeaks, built out in appropriate intervals depending on the athlete, training phase, goals, etc.
  • TrainingPeaks Premium account
  • Communication as needed, generally two phone calls per month along with text, email, and notes in the TrainingPeaks App. Texts and emails generally answered within 24 hours.
  • Training plan revisions are included and expected
  • Analysis with WKO5 software
  • Holistic approach to training with an emphasis on both performance and balance of sport in an athlete’s life
  • Goal of creating and sustaining a lifelong athlete and a lifetime of enjoyment of sport
  • Basic strength training guidance, with a referral to a certified strength coach for those who need
  • Basic race day and training ride nutrition/hydration strategy, planning, and advice
  • Race strategy, planning, execution, and analysis
  • Emphasis on the mental side of performance, managing expectations, success, disappointment.
  • Injury recovery and prevention strategies
  • My knowledge and expertise only goes so deep, in some cases referral to a Sports Psychologist or Sports Nutritionist/Dietitian may be the best option

Little Ring Plan

  • Training plan laid out monthly through Training Peaks with 3-4 key rides/workouts per week
  • Training peaks premium account
  • No revisions to training plan within Training Peaks
  • One thirty minute phone call per month
  • Workouts reviewed monthly 
  • Email communication with responses generally within 48 hours, text communication only for urgent matters
  • Holistic approach to training with an emphasis on both performance and balance of sport in an athlete’s life
  • Goal of creating and sustaining a lifelong athlete and a lifetime of enjoyment of sport
  • Referral to a certified strength coach for those who need
  • General race strategy, planning, execution, and analysis
